Our Promise to Our People
Right across the Tayto Snacks organisation, our teams always give us their best, working hard every day to make sure our great-tasting snacks can be enjoyed by consumers everywhere. To help them do just that, we provide a safe, engaging, and people-centric workplace where our colleagues can become their best, developing professionally and personally with our full support.
Strategically Embracing Well-being
Well-being in the workplace is more than an aspiration at Tayto Snacks – it is a priority. We have developed a three-year plan which focuses on building and fostering the right environment in which people’s health and wellbeing can flourish through practical activities. As part of this strategy, we run events throughout the year dedicated to addressing specific issues in this crucial area.
Officially a Great Place to Work
In October 2020, Tayto Snacks was officially certified as a Great Place to Work in line with the acclaimed international program. In addition, Tayto Snacks was also chosen as one of the Best Large Workplaces in Ireland 2021. We achieved these highly prized certifications by listening closely to our teams and colleagues organisation-wide, and gaining an understanding of what is important to them and what is not.
Exceptional Manufacturing Environment
As a food company, maintaining the highest standards of safety in our production environment is a responsibility we take seriously. Tayto Snacks is part of the Intersnack group and since 2018, we have fully embraced and implemented the IWS (Integrated Working Systems) approach. This human-centric manufacturing protocol builds on the skills of people to optimise internal production dynamics and eliminate losses in downtime and similar manufacturing metrics. And by doing so, a solid safety culture, alongside team cohesion, is built and maintained.
Promoting Seamless Communications
For every company, an open, honest and inclusive workplace depends on having clear and transparent communications structures in place. Through a combination of our self-service HR information system Bamboo, internal news outlet Newsreel, and bi-annual newsletter, we keep staff informed and we stay connected. Two-way communications is also paramount and focus groups and surveys are held regularly to ensure all voices are heard and listened to.
Continuous Colleague Development
The key to any successful organisation is a workforce that feels valued and appreciated. We have developed a performance management initiative that we call Our Colleague Contribution Programme, and it’s been developed with only the needs of our people in mind. From individual coaching to personal and professional development plans, it’s very important for us to help our people achieve their own career goals and development milestones.
